Dating: 3 Books That’ll Get You The Relationship You Want

Have you ever wondered how some people just fall into great relationships whilst some have to endure the torture of just getting it wrong every single time?

If you’re one of those who have guys or gals tripping over themselves to want to be in a relationship with you, congratulations because many will tell you it aint’t that easy. You must be doing something right!

Did you know that some of the most deepest secrets are revealed to hairdressers and beauty therapists? I ran successful salons in Central London for a while and in that time I learned some of the biggest issues people were facing when it came to dating. Having had my own fair share of  ‘trial and error’ in relationships, I was able to share my wisdom and tools I used to finally settle in to the perfect relationship with a hot man and have four kids by the age of 30. Most of my knowledge on how to be sucessful at the dating game came from books, the same books that i’m about to share with you which i’ve seen get people in to perfect relationships with many ending up in getting hitched.

Failing over and over when it comes to dating is like being trapped in some sort of groundhog day but it doesn’t have to be that way, there is hope.

Like anything, when you know what you are doing you naturally get better at it. If you know, you know, right? Here are three books to show you the way:

1. Mars And Venus On A Date by John Gray

Following the successful dating manual written for couples in longterm relationships, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, author John Gray released Mars and Venus On A Date as a guide to navigate the five stages of dating to create a loving and lasting relationship.

I kinda did things the other way first, I read Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus first because I didn’t know that Mars And Venus even existed. This wasn’t a bad thing as by the time I got round to getting through the five stages of dating, I already had the heads up on how to actually be in a longterm relationship-something really important that they DON’T teach you in school.

Mars And Venus On A Date is a must read for anyone who has just started dating. Many of my friends and clients have gone on to getting married after reading this book.

2. The New Rules: The Dating Do’s and Don’ts for the Digital Generation by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider

Aimed at women, this book teaches you how to successfully play ‘hard to get’ in an age where constant, instant communication and sometimes even the odd dick pic is the norm.

Having read Ellen and Sherries first book, The Complete Book of Rules many years ago, their latest book totally makes sense. The rules are empowering but I would only practice the rules if you are not already in a relationship or you might confuse the hell out of him and he’ll wonder why you are not the same person he started out with.

3. The Rules of The Game by Neil Strauss

This one is for the guys, however its not a bad idea for the ladies to read this so you know whats coming.

Neil Strauss is the author behind The Game, where he goes into the secret world of pickup artists-men who have made a science of the art of seduction.

The Rules of The Game is a how-to book that gives you the basics of approaching and attracting women.

This book can make you a complete dick though but we trust you will put your new found attraction and seduction skills for good use and not for the wrong reasons. One way would be to read it in conjunction with Mars and Venus On A Date so you can be led to a meaningful relationship rather than going from a desperate wallflower into a wallflower who can trick women into sex as Russell Brand puts it.
